Ambrosia Pure Honey From Colorado's Western Slope comes in a 23 ounce bottle. To prepare honey for market we liquefy the drums in a water bath and pass it through a strainer to remove large impurities such as chunks of wax then into a bulk tank where it settles overnight to allow tiny air bubbles which promote crystallization to float off. We then gravity-feed the honey to the filler. Many of the large honey packers heat the honey to 160 degree F or more in order to pump it through a micropore filter. You have only to sample some generic honey to appreciate the vast difference from honey that has been warmed and strained only.
